Legislation of Interest
Bills have been introduced in the Georgia Senate and the Georgia House which
would prohibit military recruiters from using public schools to recruit
students 16 years of age and younger. In addition, this bill would make
parental consent a condition for recruitment of 17-year olds and encourage
distribution of "opt-out" forms for parents to prevent schools from giving
students' contact information to recruiters. Visit

cruitment-of-Minors for more information.
